Viv Chitty
Director and founder of Viv Chitty Associates, Viv has specialised for over 20 years in working with senior executives who have multiple challenges to face, across a spectrum of blue chip organisations in the UK and abroad.

Viv’s extensive training and expertise in coaching and consultancy equips her to work at a deep psychological level yet keep in line with operational objectives. Mixing honesty and compassion with intuition and an incisive ability to challenge conventional patterns of thinking and operating, Viv is able to forge strong, trusting relationships. This fosters fresh insight and real, significant and sustainable breakthroughs in performance and behaviour in a dynamic yet empathetic way – sometimes in highly sensitive situations.
Her robust, evidence-based practice is informed by rigorous and continual self-development and regular professional supervision. Recently, Viv has pioneered and researched a ground-breaking new methodology, Optimal Energy® Coaching, which is based on her MA research and book Coaching for Optimal Energy: A Guide for Executive Coaches. This addresses client energy levels with a focus on how their different states of energy influence how they feel, behave, relate to and impact others and what can be done to address this.

Clients included Virgin Trains, Woolworths and Majestic Wine. She still consults, developing mentoring programmes for City-based banks as one example.
Viv also supervises fellow executive coaches since qualifying with the Coaching Supervision Academy (CSA) in 2009, with supervision clients in the UK, USA and Mexico.
She has featured as a speaker at a number of major conferences, including those hosted by the British Retail Consortium and The Association of Counselling in the Workplace.

I was deeply impressed by Viv during my coaching program. Viv’s approach felt highly individualised to my situation, my challenges and my particular idiosyncrasies. Each session was mentally stimulating, prompting deep thought both within the session and afterwards. Ultimately Viv was able to help me navigate a challenging period of my career and – I like to believe – prompted some self-development along the way. All while making the sessions fun and pleasurable. Wise, resourceful and enviably well-read, I would recommend Viv to any executive seeking coaching to further develop their effectiveness.
Pro-bono
Viv supports her wider community through pro-bono coaching, until recently working with ‘Coaching through COVID’ and offering coaching to entrepreneurs who are addressing the climate emergency in their work.
